Is this crazy weather or what? Socks on, socks off, socks on because my feet are freezing. It would be very nice if the weather were more spring-like.

It’s Sunday night and I am watching “The long Island Medium,” and my brother Chris was on it. My brother is a drag queen on Fire Island. The medium was doing a fundraiser and Ariel Sinclare (Chris) was the host who introduced her. I say the best medium lives right here in Sullivan County, Alissa Smith, intuitive coach.
I hope everyone had a very happy Easter. I had a great time at my brother Teddy’s. Holly Schulman would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Holly is coming along and cannot wait to get home and be back at work.
March 22, 2018 was three years since my husband Tommy has passed away. I asked him, "Tommy, give me a sign that you are with me." I got up the next morning and looked out my bathroom window and the snow melted in the shape of a heart around my weeping willow tree. That was a great sign for me.
I write this column with a heavy heart. Jo Kelly of Narrowsburg passed away last week. Jo was married to Jack for over 61 years, with six kids: Nancy, Marie, Rita, John, Cliff and Gene. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg was packed on Sunday with Jo’s kids, grand-kids and family members, but most of all with her friends.
ROYCROFT’S ROAR TRICKY TRAY BENEFIT for Dottie Champion Roycroft was a huge success.
That was one hell of a storm we had on Friday; my power went out at 11 a.m. on Friday. I counted to 13, and then my generator kicked in. I got a Generac generator from American Electric—the best thing I ever bought. Michael Jr. and Eric at American Electric installed it, and Cochecton Oil took care of my propane tank—that should last four days.
Yes, I was in Paris for a week, with my sister and brother in law. My cousins from England came over and surprised us. We had the best time ever, I went to an opera, "The Barber of Seville"—been there done that, never have to do it again. We saw the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, and other churches and museum.
One of the fears my husband and I had when we moved up to Sullivan County was whether we would make friends.
It’s a little wet out there this weekend, all I can say is its better than snow. You do not have to shovel rain, hope no one flooded. Stay safe.
